FROZEN

A year ago I was asked to come on to Frozen and Supervise Story - It's been an incredible journey and I'm really proud of how the film is shaping up and the experience of working with one of the greatest story crews I've ever had the privilege to work with.

Here's our first teaser for the film:

Here's one of my story panels from the teaser:

and here's some incredible images showcasing the look:

ART OF MONEY

When I was in high school I worked at an art supply store and an old man came in one day and paid for his merchandise with 10 silver certificates. I immediately pointed out to him the blue instead of the green on the bills and that they looked old. He told me he had just found an old wallet of his in the attic and it had this money it. I told him he should hold onto it and give it to someone he cares about but he insisted it was just money and he had no desire to keep it or give it away. I asked him if I could give him money out of my pocket for them and he agreed. He paid for his merchandise with the money I gave him and he happily went along his way. I still have those silver certificates in an ...old wallet of mine....somewhere.....?

While recently researching money I came across these beautiful American silver certificates. These are amazing miniature pieces of artwork in your pocket! - I want to know more about the artists that designed these.

DRAWING CLUB - MAD MAX

Was really excited about the Drawing Club this week because the theme was Mad Max.
How can you not love a movie that was filmed like THIS.......

Anyways, Here's my sketches from the night. I got so caught up in watching the movie during the session that I had to draw some compositions of those amazing deep perspective shots! Too good. Thank you George Miller!

Love it!!!!

CTN AND SKETCHES

Apologies if you've recently e-mailed me and I haven't gotten back to you. I'm buried in work right now. Hopefully, the fruits of my labor will pay off soon.

This weekend I'll be at the Disney Animation Studios booth at CTN on Saturday, November 17, from 3:30m to 5:00 looking at portfolios and exchanging Thanksgiving recipes. Please feel free to stop by and say hi!

Here's a sketch I did at the Los Angeles Zoo on the map -

and here's some sketches from the Drawing Club recently - the theme was World of Warcraft. I have no clue what the model was wearing (it was like some crazy fishscale pajamas) but Bob Kato was playing the film Dragonheart in the background so... I let that be my inspiration.
